Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026 · Version 1.0

Please note: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are subject to change at any time (see Section 18). Your continued use of Zungga means you accept the current version.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Zungga (“we”, “us”, “our”). Zungga is an online AI learning platform for children aged 8–16, operated in India.

By creating an account or using the Zungga platform at zungga.com, you (“you”, the “Parent”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Zungga.

Note: These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Zungga. Please read them carefully before creating an account.

2. Eligibility

To register a parent account, you must be at least 18 years old and the legal parent or guardian of any child profile you create.

Children do not have independent accounts on Zungga. All child profiles are linked to a parent account and managed by the parent.

Zungga is designed for children aged 8–16 (Grades 3–10). You may create profiles for children outside this range but content may not be appropriate.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. If you misrepresent your age, identity, or guardianship status, you accept full responsibility for that misrepresentation and its consequences, and we may suspend or terminate the account.

Parent verification: We take steps to confirm you are an adult guardian before you can create a child profile, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

3. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and PIN codes. Notify us immediately at support@zungga.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Zungga reserves the right to disable, suspend, or terminate any account at any time for violations of these Terms.

Security reminder: Never share your parent account password or your child's switch PIN with anyone outside your family.

4. Services & Third-Party Tools

Zungga provides online AI learning courses, activities, quizzes, and projects for children. Courses are delivered through video missions, interactive activities, and instructor-reviewed projects.

Some content is available free of charge. Paid content requires a valid purchase or active subscription.

To operate, secure, and continually improve the Platform, Zungga relies on trusted third-party services and infrastructure — for example payment processing, cloud hosting, media delivery, email, and artificial-intelligence providers. These tools help us deliver a faster, safer, and more reliable experience. We remain responsible for how we handle your data, but we are not liable for outages, errors, or acts of these third parties that are beyond our reasonable control (see Section 16).

Every certificate issued by Zungga carries the following notice: “This is a course completion certificate issued by Zungga Learning and does not represent a government-accredited qualification.” Certificates are pathway completion achievements, verifiable via a unique code at zungga.com/verify.

Verifiable achievements: Every Zungga certificate can be independently verified at zungga.com/verify — shareable with schools, colleges, and employers.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable GST (18%). Prices are shown in INR for Indian users and in USD for international users.

Payments are processed through Razorpay (India) or Stripe (international). Zungga does not store your payment card details.

Individual course access expires 365 days from the date of purchase. After expiry, your child retains all earned progress, badges, and achievements but loses access to course content.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. To cancel, go to Parent Dashboard → Billing & Plans → Cancel Subscription.

Zungga Credits: Credits are platform currency (1 Credit = ₹1). They are non-withdrawable and non-transferable but can be used across all courses, events, and competition fees. Credits are valid for 1 year from issue.

6. Refunds & Referral Rewards

Individual pathway purchases:

  • There is no cash refund for a completed pathway purchase. If you cancel a purchase after paying, the amount is returned to you as Zungga Credits (1 Credit = ₹1, valid for 1 year from issue, non-withdrawable) — never as cash. No credit is returned once a course has been substantially completed or a certificate has been issued.
  • A cash refund is issued only where there has been a duplicate payment, or another genuine, reasonable issue, and only after our validation. Email support@zungga.com with the payment details to request one.

Monthly subscriptions: No refund for the current billing month. Cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the paid period.

Annual subscriptions: Pro-rata cash refund for unused complete months if cancelled within 30 days of purchase. No refund after 30 days.

Referral rewards: Referral earnings are cash rewards added to your Earnings wallet. To protect against fraud, cancellations, and refunds, each referral reward is first held as pending and becomes withdrawable only after 48 hours from the referred purchase.

  • If the referred buyer cancels their purchase, no referral earnings are awarded for it, and any pending reward for that purchase is reversed.
  • If a refund is requested on a purchase (for example a duplicate payment), no referral earnings will be provided for that purchase.
Refund requests: Email support@zungga.com with your payment ID. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days. Requesting a refund forfeits any referral earnings tied to that purchase.

7. Fraud, Wallet & Referral Integrity

Zungga Earnings and Zungga Credits are platform balances only — they are not bank deposits and carry no cash value except as expressly provided in these Terms.

We may withhold, reduce, reverse, freeze, or forfeit any Earnings, Credits, or referral rewards, and suspend or terminate any account, where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or manipulation. This includes (without limitation) self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, multiple accounts controlled by one person, collusion, or any attempt to game referrals, credits, refunds, or rewards.

The referral programme is a revocable privilege, not a right or an entitlement to income. We may change referral rates, caps, eligibility, or hold periods, or discontinue the programme entirely, at any time. Referral rewards do not create any employment, agency, partnership, or salary relationship.

Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting support is a breach of these Terms. We may immediately suspend the account, revoke access, and forfeit any associated balances, and you remain liable for the disputed amount and any related costs.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials or child PIN with anyone outside your family
  • Use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate learning and skill-building
  • Attempt to access, modify, or interfere with any part of the platform's code or infrastructure
  • Submit any project containing inappropriate, harmful, or copyrighted content
  • Use AI tools to generate lesson or project content that violates any applicable law

Zungga may be used only for its intended purpose — legitimate learning and skill-building by your child within the Platform, using the features and activities Zungga expressly provides.

Anything not expressly permitted is prohibited. Any use, activity, or conduct that is not expressly allowed by these Terms or by the Platform's features is not permitted. We may treat any conduct we reasonably consider harmful, deceptive, abusive, or contrary to the spirit of these Terms as a violation — even if it is not specifically listed above — and act accordingly.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund. We take child safety and platform integrity very seriously.

9. Your Content & Licence

“Your Content” means anything you or your child submit to the Platform — including projects, drawings, stories, AI prompts, comments, and uploads.

You (and your child, as applicable) retain ownership of Your Content. To operate the Platform, you grant Zungga a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and moderate Your Content solely to provide, secure, review, and improve the Services.

We may review, moderate, refuse, or removeany content at our discretion — including content we consider unsafe, unlawful, infringing, or inappropriate for a children's platform.

Keep your own copies: We are not obligated to store or back up Your Content and are not liable for its loss. Please keep your own copies of anything important.

10. AI Features

The Platform includes AI-assisted features — for example a guest assistant, a student learning guide that offers hints, and parent progress summaries — powered in part by third-party AI providers.

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. It is provided “as is”, is a learning aid only, and is not professional, educational, legal, medical, or financial advice. Do not rely on it as a sole source of truth, and do not enter sensitive personal information into AI features.

To generate responses, limited data may be processed by our AI provider — for example a student's grade, the lesson they are working on, and the text they type. We do notsend a child's name, contact details, or identity to the AI provider, and this data is not used to train third-party models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Zungga is not liable for any decision made in reliance on AI output. AI features can be turned off for a child in Settings.

11. Intellectual Property

All Zungga platform content — courses, videos, activities, quizzes, the Zed character, and all designs — are owned by Zungga and protected by copyright law.

Content created by your child during Zungga projects (drawings, stories, AI outputs) belongs to your child (and you, as their guardian). Zungga does not claim ownership of student-created work.

Your child owns their work: Any project, drawing, story, or AI output created by your child on Zungga belongs entirely to them and to you as their guardian.

12. Instructor Content

Courses are created by third-party instructors who have agreed to Zungga's Instructor Agreement and Content Safety Guidelines. All courses are reviewed and approved by Zungga before publication.

Safety review: Every course undergoes a content safety review by our Child Safety Lead before it is made available to learners.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Platform will meet your specific requirements or expectations. We make no guarantee of any particular educational outcome, result, score, admission, or opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zungga is not liable for: indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of data; or interruption of service.

Zungga's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Zungga in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Dispute resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zungga, its directors, employees, instructors, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • your or your child's use of the Platform;
  • Your Content;
  • your breach of these Terms; or
  • your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

16. Force Majeure & Third-Party Dependencies

Zungga shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, orders or restrictions (including internet or service shutdowns), labour disputes, or power, network, or internet failures.

Because the Platform depends on third-party services and infrastructure (such as payment gateways, cloud hosting, and AI providers), interruptions, outages, or failures of those services are treated as events beyond our reasonable control. During any such event, our affected obligations are suspended for its duration.

17. General Terms

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Zungga regarding the Platform and supersede any prior agreements.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them, in whole or in part, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets.
  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

18. Changes to These Terms & the Services

Zungga is continuously improving. The Zungga platform, its features, our Services, and these Terms of Service are all subject to change at any time.

For material changes to these Terms, we will notify you via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Zungga after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Our safety, security, privacy, and data-protection terms may be updated at any time to remain aligned with applicable laws, government regulations, and our evolving policies (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and any related or successor regulations). Where an update is required for legal or regulatory compliance, or to protect user safety — especially the safety of children — it may take effect immediately and without prior notice, and your continued use of Zungga constitutes acceptance of that change.

Regulatory & safety updates: To keep children safe and to comply with the law, our safety and security terms may change with immediate effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
You can always find the most current version of these Terms at zungga.com/terms. We recommend bookmarking this page.
